Sorcery.no

Terms of Service

Effective: 5 October 2026

The short version

Sorcery.no is an independent community project built to provide useful tools for players and collectors of Sorcery: Contested Realm.

Use the service reasonably, do not abuse it or other users, do not attempt to compromise it, and do not treat community tools or third-party data as infallible. Sorcery.no may change as the project develops, but material changes to these Terms will be handled transparently.

These Terms do not remove rights you have under mandatory Norwegian, EEA, or other applicable law.

1. About these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Sorcery.no and services operated as part of Sorcery.no, including its websites, applications, account features, and APIs made available to ordinary users.

By using Sorcery.no, you agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, you should not create an account or continue using account-based features.

2. Operator and contact

Sorcery.no is an independent community service operated from Norway.

Sorcery.no is operated under the Ancient Workshop name. Questions about the service can be submitted through the contact form.

3. Independent community project

Sorcery.no is an independent project and is not an official website or service of Erik's Curiosa Limited, Discord, or other third-party companies whose products or services may interact with Sorcery.no.

Sorcery: Contested Realm and associated names, artwork, card images, trademarks, and other intellectual property belong to their respective owners. Their appearance in community tools does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, partnership, or ownership by Sorcery.no.

4. Accounts and authentication

Some Sorcery.no features may be used without an account. Features that save or synchronise personal collections, decks, lists, preferences, or other user-specific information may require an account.

Sorcery.no may use Discord OAuth for authentication. A Discord account is therefore required for features that depend on that authentication method. Discord is a separate service and its own terms and policies also apply to your use of Discord.

You are responsible for maintaining control of the Discord account or other authentication method associated with your Sorcery.no account. You must not knowingly use another person's account without permission or attempt to bypass Sorcery.no authentication or access controls.

You may use a Sorcery.no username that differs from your Discord identity. Do not impersonate another person or organisation in a way that is intended to deceive other users.

5. Acceptable use

You may use Sorcery.no for its intended community and personal purposes. You must not:

Reasonable use of publicly documented functionality, interoperability, ordinary browser tools, and legitimate security reporting is not prohibited merely because it is technical.

6. User-created content and saved data

You remain responsible for information and content you intentionally create, save, submit, or make public through Sorcery.no, such as usernames, deck names, deck lists, collection information, or other user-created material.

You retain whatever rights you hold in your original user-created content. By submitting content to Sorcery.no, you grant Sorcery.no only the permissions reasonably necessary to store, process, display, transmit, back up, and otherwise handle that content for the purpose of providing the features you choose to use.

Do not submit content that you do not have the right to use or that unlawfully infringes another person's rights.

7. Card, rules, pricing, and other information

Sorcery.no may display card information, deck analysis, collection information, pricing data, rules-related information, statistics, calculations, or information obtained from third-party or community sources.

Reasonable efforts may be made to keep such information useful and accurate, but errors, delays, incomplete data, mismatches, outdated information, or differences between sources can occur. Information shown by Sorcery.no should not be treated as an official ruling, guaranteed market value, appraisal, financial advice, or guarantee that a transaction can be completed at a displayed price.

Where an official source conflicts with an unofficial Sorcery.no presentation, the applicable official source should be treated as authoritative for matters within its authority.

8. Availability and changes to the service

Sorcery.no is an evolving community project. Features may be added, changed, redesigned, suspended, or removed as the project develops. Maintenance, technical failures, third-party outages, security incidents, or other circumstances may also make some or all of the service temporarily unavailable.

Sorcery.no does not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Reasonable care will be taken when making changes that could affect stored user data or established account functionality.

9. Backups and important data

Sorcery.no may maintain backups and safeguards, but you should not rely on a community service as the sole copy of information that is important to you. Where export functionality is available, keeping your own copy is sensible.

This does not limit any responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

10. Suspension and termination

Sorcery.no may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, infrastructure, third parties, or the service itself; respond to unlawful activity; investigate serious abuse; or enforce these Terms.

Where appropriate, the response should be proportionate to the problem. Immediate restriction may be necessary for security incidents, active attacks, fraud, or similarly urgent circumstances.

You may stop using Sorcery.no at any time. Account deletion and treatment of personal data are described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Privacy

Your privacy is governed by the Sorcery.no Privacy Policy. Sorcery.no is designed around data minimisation and aims to collect only information reasonably necessary to provide and protect the service.

12. Third-party services and links

Sorcery.no may depend on or link to third-party services, including authentication providers, hosting and infrastructure providers, source repositories, marketplaces, community resources, or official Sorcery resources.

Those services are operated independently and may have their own terms, privacy policies, availability, and security practices. Sorcery.no does not control third-party services and is not responsible for their independent operation.

13. Intellectual property in Sorcery.no

Except for third-party material and user-created content, the software, original design elements, documentation, branding, and other original material created specifically for Sorcery.no or its associated projects remain the property of their respective creator or rights holder and may also be subject to any licence published with that material.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Sorcery: Contested Realm intellectual property, Discord intellectual property, third-party marketplace data, or any other third-party material to Sorcery.no.

14. Payments and supporter features

Sorcery.no does not currently offer paid subscriptions or process payments as part of the service covered by these Terms.

If paid features, subscriptions, donations, or other financial-support mechanisms are introduced, the relevant terms will be added or updated before those features are offered. Any mandatory consumer rights, pricing disclosures, cancellation rights, or other legal requirements applicable to such features will continue to apply.

15. Disclaimers and limitation of responsibility

Sorcery.no is provided as a community service. To the extent permitted by applicable law, no guarantee is made that every feature, calculation, price, card record, analysis, or third-party data point will always be complete, accurate, current, or suitable for a particular purpose.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising solely from reliance on unofficial information, temporary unavailability, third-party failures, or use of the service outside its intended purpose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or attempts to waive liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted under Norwegian, EEA, or other applicable mandatory law.

16. Security reporting

If you discover a security issue affecting Sorcery.no, please report it responsibly using the contact information in Section 2. Do not exploit a vulnerability beyond what is reasonably necessary to identify and explain it, access other users' information, destroy or alter data, or publicly disclose an unresolved vulnerability in a way that creates unnecessary risk.

Good-faith security reports are welcome. Technical curiosity is not treated as abuse merely because it involves understanding how the service works.

17. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated as Sorcery.no develops or when legal, security, operational, or service changes require it. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version.

If a change materially affects account holders' rights or obligations, reasonable efforts will be made to provide appropriate notice before the change takes effect where required.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Norwegian law, subject to any mandatory protections or rights that apply to you under the law of your country of residence or other applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms requires a consumer to give up a mandatory right to bring a dispute before a competent authority or court where applicable law provides that right.

19. Severability

If a provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. An invalid provision should be interpreted or limited only as much as necessary rather than invalidating the Terms as a whole.

20. Contact

Questions about these Terms, account access, abuse, or security can be submitted through the contact form.
